It takes us to the highs of the rescue flights to Mt Hagan and the successes of the Catalina deliveries across the Pacific and the double sunrise service to Ceylon It covers the New Guinea campaigns and the constant battle with the unrelenting weather, unforgiving terrain and the constant threat of enemy attack With highly detailed accounts of the aircraft, crews and support staff from the Qantas archives and complete with route maps of the period and over forty photographs this is a must read for anyone with an interest in aviation history.
