| I conducted airdrops there, and set up a grass runway with low-light, filted torches as part of 36 Sqn Tac Ex in 2002. After seeing the sign on the way in, and having recently read an account of two sqn's based there in WWII, I began to tell the other guys WWII ghost stories as night fell. By the end of the night, when we had to drive through a series of gates and get back on board the immenently arriving herc, the other guys were too scared to get out of the car! |
