I recieved the following request, I am still waiting to see if he was RAAF or RAF. --- My father never talked about the war. He was trained Flying Officer, Pilot Officer and eventually a navigator in mainly Wellinton Bombers. He trained at the Air Empire Training scheme in Canada when he left Australia. He was based mainly in the north of England but I don't think his group was attached to any particular main Bomber Group. His name is Edward William Renouf, he is now 88 years of age and suffers from Parkinson Disease. would you be able to find out any information about him and his war years please. I do hope that DVA is involved if he was RAAF, which looks extreemly likely. A bugger of an ailment, and his relos could use I suspect all the help they can get. Regards' Col |

So he was an RAAF member serving in the RAF. 27 Operational Training unit part of Bomber Command. Based at Lichfield Tatenhill and Church Broughton Perhaps when you are talking to your source, you can confirm that DVA have him under their wing, and if not I can direct them of action to be taking.
