| It has been reported in the Canberra Times today that Wing Commander (R'ted) Dick Cresswell died on Tuesday aged 86. |

| I am greatful to have met this real life hero and glad to have gotten his signature on my WARTIME magazine. He was a true legend. |

| He was very approachable and a true gentleman the few times I talked with him. Always helpful and had a keen mind and memory almost to the end. He will be sorely missed. Gordy he would have corrected the red 'U' too. ;-) Gordon |
