I am looking for any information about RAAF members who were killed and had relatives in any of the services during WWII that were also killed. If any one has suchj information can you please let me know.

I would also like to know if the below two RAAF members, who were killed only weeks apart in Jan/Feb 42 were related at all.

Sgt Alan Vincent Coutie 400912 (son of Arthur Vincent Coutie and Florence Ellen Coutie, of Sandringham, Victoria, Australia) killed 25 Jan 42

and

Sgt Barton Irving Coutie 405543 (son of Barton Montgomerie Coutie and Edith Annie Coutie, of Malvern, Victoria) killed 11 Feb 42.

Both men appeared to live close by in Malvern and Sandringham, Victoria.
Can anyone help out?

Dean,

do you know how old they were when they were killed, with that you can confirm what I have below?

I have some CD's to do research for my family tree.

I was able to find a birth record for Barton Irving Coutie, he was born in 1918 in Armadale. Parents names on the record match with what you provided. Mothers maiden name was Hemphill.

I also found the birth certificate for Alan Vincent Coutie, born South Melb in 1913, parents names also match. Mothers maiden name was Drane.

I noted the marriage records for Arthur Vincent indicate he was born in QLD I think and the record for Barton Montgomery says he was born in Melb but I cant find either records. Unfortunately it doesnt help you alot.

Cheers,

Darren
