Gordy,
Isn't this the "Kittystang" as it was at Moorabbin? The latest here: http://www.aarg.com.au/Kittyhawk.htm Mark Pilkington could give you the latest gen. Cheers BC |

Thanks all. My mistake on A29-53
I wonder why they don't display EZ999 in its RAAF formal markings,...A27-99? Gordy |

Harold told me that she never wore the RAAF number in service and he wanted to keep how it was in service

He is actually 100% correct as EZ997 and EZ998 were also sent straight into storage at Richmond by 2AD after languishing at 2AD after delivery in June 43 and were left not accepted into RAAF up to October 44, before being placed in storage for nearly four years.
These were the last three of the Northrop Built A-31 Vengeances delivered to the RAAF. The highest A27-90 series used in operational service was A27-96 SJ-N with 25Sqn RAAF.Pic below after being reclaimed EZ997/998/999 were earmarked in 1948 for the RANFAA, but subsequently the transfer was cancelled a few months later same year.
