Hi Guys,
I was just on the aerial visuals locator website and there is a google map of an apparently abandoned dc3 near bendigo. Is it still there? And is the any history on it? (I did start looking through your wonderful data base but the sheer amount of Dak info was daunting! And it may not have served with the Adf. So I thought it would be quicker to post here)

cheers Dan.

Based at Archerfield, Qld. Wartime callsign VHCHC
Stored dismantled on a property in the Kamarooka State Forest near Bendigo, Victoria.

From another website
"Jason Burgess reports that he acquired VH-AEQ on 13MAY06. The aircraft was previously owned by David Hamilton who bought the "Xanadu" property from Alvin Petersen a few years ago. Jason confirms that the aircraft is dismantled and in poor condition. It will be moved to a farm near Swan Hill where Jason already has the cockpit of VH-SBO"

Thanks for the info guys, my search for a cheap aircraft for the yard will continue. Any leads would be appreciated,.my only 2 requirements are preferably a commercial of some kind(was looking for a dove but all seem to be spoken for exept vh-nbm that was derelict at wallen but I have yet located its current location) and also cheap enough to convince the wife it is worth while.
the later of the two might be dam near impossible!

cheers, Dan
