Royal Navy Fairey Firefly AS.5 VT362
Delivered 12/01/1948, struck off charge 26/09/1950 at Yeovilton
We don't list VT362 but do list VT363 as being a Royal Navy aircraft used 7/2/49 for catapult and arrester gear trials on HMAS SYDNEY
Was VT362 being used for another trial or was VT362 loaned to 817 Squadron?

I'll have a look around and e-mail some questions to people but a lot of this information may be difficult to find nowadays. Meanwhile I had a look here to note this quote:

https://www.faaaa.asn.au/fairey-firefly-aircraft-histories/

"The following information is provided by ADF Serials, to whom we extend our grateful thanks. The job would have been immeasurably harder if it had not been for them!"

Yes it is nice to receive some recognition for all our hard work.
Coincidentally I have just sent in my application to join FAAAA as an Associate member.
I think that we work well together.

ADFserials get a thank you again (probably there are more 'thank yous' from earlier aircraft histories that I may not have mentioned before).
