And another. These are labeled as on the beach at Cairns. This is incorrect they are at Bowen. The aircraft are on the old timber slipway which was built at the end of Brisbane Street on the eastern side of the jetty. The newer concrete slipway was later built on the western side of the jetty
The photo of A24-4 has been taken looking almost due south and shows the end of the jetty in the background Attached Image |

Thanks for that. I had an later last year visit at Bowen whilst on my trip to Townsville. Thus had an inkling it was there.
