A2-723 Pictured being delivered to VT still with US Army name but with White Roo

That pic was in fact taken at Phan Rang (you can see the 2SQN Canberras in their revetments). I was there at the time and saw the two ex-US Army UH-1Hs being ferried thru from Pleiku - they stayed that night 27/7/70, and I had some beers with the 9SQN pilots in the bar that night. They flew on to Vung Tau the next day. I recorded their details: A2-723 was still marked as 69-15435 (c/n 11723), and the second a/c was A2-703 marked as 69-15415 (c/n 11703). One of the pilots was "Dumpy" Burns, don't remember the others. |

Always a pleasure to get the details. Bumper Price: Aus $ marked on below card and confirms date as stated by you:27/07/70 I imagine the A50 History sheet per 9Sqn (66-86)will have it if one day someone checks it out.
