From a numerical point of view the most popular ex-RAAF aircraft still flying is the Tiger Moth with the CASA register showing 292 examples
I have just added 137 images to the gallery, including new nested albums for A17-58, 130, 136, 156, 236, 239, 284, 322, 387, 504, 526, 543, 551, 717, 734 N6456, N5457, T5049, T5483, T5484 The majority of these came from Ian McDonell plus contributions from James Hollinworth, Greg Thom, Stephan Baldwin, Geoff Goodall and Kurt Finger. One thing that I have noticed is that a good number of the current flying examples have their otherwise excellent presentation compromised by using cheap vinyl stick on serials with completely incorrect fonts and styles. Surely there are enough period photos around to get this detail correct (whinge over). And this is without tapping into the collection that our Facebook group members may have uploaded What's that saying "You only feel as old as the aircraft images you are uploading"! I must be slowing down as age creeps up, that lot took me two days to identify, upload, caption and link. A good night on the (flat) bed and I'll be as good as new! Attached Image |

I had slowly been collecting photos of the Lockheed U.2s in Australia.
A sudden influx of photos on our Facebook page were collected and added to the image album. Some searching on-line found some more photos to fill in the gaps I was about to write a page covering the U.2 operations however Ron Cuskelly of The Lockheed File has done just that so I have linked to his page (with his permission) Thanks to Rod Farqhar, Kurt Finger, Rick Hanning, Phillip Tracey and all the other photographers credited in ADF-Serials U.2 image gallery. Next project for me is the write a page covering the related Crowflight Martin B-57s Attached Image |
