The AAHC has commenced a new restoration project a RAAF WW2 era Blitz Crane.
The crane is mounted on a Canadian Ford Blitz chassis. Any images of this beast in RAAF service would be appreciated. Have to start a vehicles page now Martin. Attached Image |

Nice project, useful too if the crane can be used as such.
The topic of RAAF vehicles is well covered in other groups. A while ago we came up with a website similar to ours covering everything from trucks to Landrovers. There is another ex-RAAF Blitz crane advertised on Gumtree if you need spares http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/kingsholme/...ruck/1023995531 Attached Image |

Have already sighted the one on Gumtree, Thanks!
Do you have a link to the mentioned RAAF vehicles website? The crane section appears to have been painted yellow any maybe the truck RAAF Blue/Grey but not sure. Unfortunately the cost and paperwork to get it recertified under current requirements would be difficult if at all possible. Attached Image |
