Hopefully Dean or someone will be able to help with this.

Winjeel A85-409 crashed at Williamtown on 22/3/1988 with a LAC Tony McNeill dying on 28/3/1988 as a result of a Winjeel accident. I presume the same accident but dying as a result of injuries 6 days later. Anyone able to confirm that.

Thanks,
Gordon

Okay I have this information but it hasn't been updated for ages (read..years).

The crew were from 77SQN and were Squadron Leader Paul Michael Edward Carter O123530 (qfi) and AC Anthony McNeill but I have the accident dated 28 Mar 88 which lost control at low level during PFL(?) at Williamtown.

I need to check the 77SQN records regarding this accident.

Thanks for that Dean.

A couple of more questions then. Are u sure it was 77 Sqn? The reason I ask is that our records (ADF Serials) has it with 76 Sqn as a FAC aircraft and the accident as 22/3/88. However there is a plaque in MacKay, Qld that says it was the 28th. Can we confirm McNeill's rank too? I have LAC as does the plaque in Mackay (though that may have been were I got his rank in the first place B) )

Thanks for your help.
Gordon
