Hi guys

Can anyone tell me which Sqns were doing SAR missions around the New Guinea/Rabaul area in the middle of 1943. The 100 Sqn guys tell me that Catalinas searched for the missing A9-225 but the records of 11 and 20 Sqns do not show any activity that seems to relate to this aircraft. 20 Sqn records show a couple of pickups and the fact that they were operating in the Gasmata area at the time - the ORB records sea rescue and sea rescue activities.
Any suggestions greatfully received and if anyone can tell me how to find out which sub was in the area at this time, even better ^_^
