I recieved this other question from Robert Blyth;

A/1959 - An ADEX was in progress and the advanced flightline, adjacent to the T/O end of the main runway, was active. A Sabre, piloted by Flg Off Reo Offord had just landed, taxied in and had parked, apparently with an engine problem, and applied higher power. A newly arrived airframe fitter from ARDU was unfamiliar with this possibility of flightline activities, thinking that the engine was shut down (other aircraft were operating in the vicinity) and walked close in front of the intake, with tragic result. (Yours truly replaced the corporal on the flightline)

Can anyone provide a name of this Corporal - this accident also does not appear in the 'Remembrance' website.
