C-17A Globemaster III (A41) Group: Members Posts: 528 Member No.: 25 Joined: 24-June 05	I have just heard from a very good source that HARS is negotiating with the Govt to buy B707 A20-623 as an airworthy aircraft. Apparently the engines have been taken off it and are being refurbished. Anyone else heard anything on this?

Yes, the engines were removed but have since been re-installed back on it. But hell...that would make one hell of a warbird though. Interesting news Dave. Thanks. Perhaps not enough for a heavy 707? Don't know if a lightly fueled version would be suitable? Attached Image
