Hi Luig,

Here's a call from help from John:

QUOTE

Hi There

I am trying to either find a copy of Phil Thompson's A4 Scrapbook that he put on line or alternatively contact him direct to see if I can get a copy.

He also put some DVD's together ages ago of A4 Skyhawk footage and I would like to get a copy of these also.

If you can help or forward on my request I would be most grateful.

Many thanks and kind regards

John Kennett

Can you help to point John in the right direction?

I was also thinking that maybe we could host your materials ourselves and publish them at our Research Page if you need a home for them? (Just a thought!)

Cheers

Brendan Cowan

Thanks for the offer Brendan. Perhaps I should talk to you via e-mail directly about your offer of hosting the material? At present the RAN FAA and A4G PDFs and Videos are hosted only on 'SpazSinbad' Microsoft SkyDrive page at:

https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=cbcd63d6340707e6&sa=822839791

100Mb file size restrictions there mean a lot of larger material has to be in .RAR/.EXE format. Perhaps this makes for easier downloading on the server.

John Kennet did contact me via e-mail yesterday but so far has not replied so I guess the information given to him then (as above) was adequate.

For a long time now the other file download websites have been unavailable so the above SkyDrive is it for the moment. I'd be glad to upload any files you see there to the ADF-serials website. Just let me know. Some can be updated also. Mostly the work on the main 4.4GB PDF is finished, however I can and will update the 'How to Deck Land' PDF along with the F-35 PDF every now and then.

Thanks for contacting me Dave.

I had forgotten about GoogleDrive, which now has a 1GB file size limit so there are a few 'various' 1GB PDFs there with more to follow:

'SpazSinbad_PDFs_Videos' (look in various folders also)

For a small fee per month it is possible to have 50GB of storage on GoogleDrive instead of the FREE 5GBs so I'll be uploading the most recent complete 4.4GB PDF (and other stuff later) in a day or so. The fee allows file sizes up to 10GB depending on file.

SpazSinbad on GoogleDrive Main Page is:

https://drive.google.com/?authuser=0#folder...aDhIQ0szeVJFY0U

Specific URL for folder '4.4GB PDF A4G Skyhawks RAN FAA' for "A4G-FAA_Scrapbook_20dec2012_9,456ppFINALv11.pdf" is:

https://drive.google.com/?authuser=0#folder...dXIxRGwzWHlwNjA

GoogleDrive now has the A4G HMAS Melbourne Deck Landing Ops 4GB Zipped Video DVD files (unzip the zip to an empty directory so that the correct Video DVD file structure is created) then burn that same file structure to a DVD and youse will have a Video DVD playable on computer and Video Player:

Folder name: '4GB A4G OPS MELBOURNE VIDEO DVD ZIP'

File name: 'A4G_OPS_DVD_Video.zip'

Latest version of the A4G / FAA Fixed Wing and F-35 info amongst other stuff such as 'how to deck land' dated 31 Dec 2012 available:

Folder name: '4.4GB PDF A4G Skyhawks RAN FAA'

File name: 'A4G-FAA_Scrapbook_31dec2012_9,470ppFINALv11.pdf'

Always the RAN FAAAA website will have the latest links to PDF material - it is the URL link 'signature' at btm of my posts here:

I'll guess lately you have not uploaded a 4.4Gb file to either ONEdrive or GOOGLEdrive with a web browser. The process takes over the computer, especially any other online activity, which slows to impossibly slow. Usually the upload of such a file takes almost 24 hours with a high likelihood these days that the internet connection will drop out, meaning the process has to be restarted from beginning. I have investigated 'other' upload utilities in the past but not lately. Genuinely my area has been strung along about NBN for the past two years. Installation always on the horizon but like a mirage one never arrives at NBN. I see no activity. I'll go to NBN website to view the latest lie.

Thankfully we are still slated for Fibre to the Curb but the timeline WAS April-June 2019 a few months back. It is now: "Planned to be available from Jul-Sep 2019" Ffsake. So... will this 'promise' be 'updated' soon to a later date? Now it is more than two years late in my area. "Construction stage - Build commenced"
