I was just starting flying training (ground school) at Point Cook when Michael Lynch was killed. Then at beginning of 1968 we started flying, to then visit Laverton for circuit work. Very sad to hear about the death of Michael and his young RAAF passenger.
I have a training class photo of Michael with the Winjeel and photo of the crash remains in the PDF. I'll put these pages online. On SpazSinbad on SkyDrive in the 'Documents Various' folder is: "MickLynchVampire1967CrashLavertonNo59pilotCourse.pdf" (0.9Mb) https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=CBCD63D63407...6340707E6%21116 This post has been edited by Luig on Feb 20 2013, 02:25 PM |

Many thanks Phil,
I've passed that on to Margaret Holden this morning. Thanks for the very quick response. Brendan |

No problem. I was always sad not to have met a great bloke by all reports. The message has been passed on to some of those who knew him - all those years ago now.
