Difficult if not impossible to make 1 to 1 comparisons of Electronic Warfare capabilities in the very secret world of EW effects. Only a few years ago were hints made about the EW magic in the F-35. BTW all F-35 variants have the same electronics which are/will be upgraded over time. For example there is a BLOCK 4 software upgrade coming after a hardware TECHNICAL REFRESH TR3 upgrade (both not finalised to be put in place at moment). Later LRIP Low Rate Initial Production F-35s will have these upgrades. USN & USAF are waiting to buy MORE of these upgraded F-35 LRIP aircraft.

Meanwhile the current GROWLER will be UPGRADED to deal with the new NGJ hardware which will be quite a step up from current capability. Already USN Growlers are undergoing airframe etc upgrades to use the NGJ (Next Generation Jammer). The RAAF have clearly stated they will stay in step with any Growler upgrades while they participate in NGJ development with USN.

The USMC have no troubles using their F-35s (along with drones) for EW. The USAF have mostly ignored tactical EW given the abilities of the F-35. The USN always do their own thing, having been the substitute EW platform for the three services with the Growler (USAF crew some Growlers ashore).

OTHER than this precis EW is quite a topic probably not appropriate to be explained in detail not only given the secrecy around it but what is available to the public are just generalisations. Other online forums such as F-16.net in the F-35 subforum have a lot of information about this topic. A comparison between aircraft? Nope. Not enough known as stated above.

The EA-18G with NGJ will have EW magic like no other so there is no F-35 replacement unless (and this has been hinted) the NGJ pods are made available to the F-35 in future upgrades mooted perhaps. The F-35 is planned to have a long upgradeable life with LASER weapons on the cards along with EW stuff.

This is an 'odd' claim, recall STEALTH enables an F-35 to get closer to a target compared to an unstealthy EA-18G Growler: 2013 F-35 story

Next Generation Jammer NGJ for Growler under development will be better than current stuff on it.
