Saw a lot of questions about the ML/KNIL Wackett trainers. I found a list of c/n's in an appendix to a document addressed to Lt L. van der Heide who was heading the Wackett assembling team at Tjililitan during 1947. I translated the c/n's into RAAF serials using the info from the RAAF ac status cards, from which I also added the date the ac were isued by the RAAF to Kingsford Smith Aviation Service. The list is actually a faint carbon copy that was used by the mechanics to put the right B serial on the right ac and hang on the wall of the shed used by the mechanics of the assembling team in the period of July-November 1947. The Wireless Trainer (W/T) ac were single control ac and were (apart from five dedicated spares ac) bought as reserves for the ML Central Flying School but were eventuallly also scrapped for spares (especially as they had overhauled engines). They did not go to Tjililitan but went from storage at Tandjong Priok to storage at Andir until taken apart. Best regards to you all, Peter Boer
