C-17A Globemaster III (A41) Group: ADF Serials Team Posts: 789 Member No.: 4 Joined: 1-June 05 |
The first( To My Knowledge ) Globemaster came into Edinburgh this morning, perhaps bringing the Tiger for ARDU?? Was unable to get a side view as it came over so don't know the serial.

Yes the first Aussie C-17.
I was wrong on all counts, I went looking later in the afternoon and was just in time to have it fly overhead on takeoff. I met up with a fellow "Spy" who informed me it was 206 and it had disgorged a Chinook and had also been here a couple of weeks ago. To make matters worse when I got home my wife said you should have been here just now this huge aeroplane flew past quite low. Anyway here is one pic that I got. Rod. Attached Image |

Before I got posted I used to go down to Airmovements and look at the Yank ones.
Are ours a lighter shade of grey than the US ones? |

I'm not 100% sure but I thought I read they were the standard US scheme???
I tried to compare via images my of both, but lighting conditions and angle wont allow for a good comparison I'm afraid... |
