Updated PNGDF page with the correct serial numbers for the Iroquois donated by Australia.
We thank James Hollingworth who examined the constructor's plates on a recent visit to Port Moresby. Also added the first of 4 PAC 750XLs identified although still haven't yet tied up its NZ civil reg. with its PNGDF serial |

Martin (or James),
Can you please confirm exactly what was checked/recorded on the Hueys at Port Moresby? Were 401, 402, 403, 405 all checked? Presumably the latest sighting is now after 01/2016? The Huey preamble also still states: "There are two schools of thought regarding the tie up between PNGDF serials and the original RAAF serials. For the time being both are listed until an inspection of the data plates can be arranged." Andy |

Andy the construction numbers stamped on the ID plates of the three surviving ex-RAAF Hueys were checked by James at Port Moresby
As suspected the former RAAF serials did not align in order with the allocated PNGDF serials I forgot to remove the mention in the introduction but will take care of it shortly. Do you have anything on the PAC 750XL acquisition? |
