Hi Guys,
Just an update on the restoration of the RAAFA Aviation Heritage Museum of W.A.'s CA-16 Wirraway A20-688. Restoration is complete and now in it's original trainer scheme and a clear view was installed under the port side cockpit area so visitors can view the interior and fittings, photo attached and more photos added to the image gallery. Mike. :D Attached Image |

Thanks Mike,
She looks like she's in really great trim now. Looking forward to the additional photos. Can any one add any pre-restoration shots for comparison? Of course you can always look at our gallery too! BC |

Brendan,
Photo of A20-688 pre-restoration, as requested. I've also added more images of it in the gallery, both in 25 Squadron service and with the Museum. Mike. :D Attached Image |

Thanks Mike, photos added to the gallery album for A20-688
http://www.adf-gallery.com.au/gallery/Wirraway-2A20-688 Another example of an aircraft pictured over a 50 odd year period which is our aim with the image gallery. Cheers Martin |

Correct me if I am wrong but Mike's colour pic appears to show A20-668 not 688.

Mike,
If it hadn't fo been for the before and after shots I would have missed it also, the eye seems to pick out differences without really trying. You might say it is a signwriters worst nightmare. Rod. |

Thanks Mike, Rod, Phil and Gordy!
Well spotted! This reminds me of the Seahawk that was painted with the wrong s/n a few years back in very much larger numerals! Mike, We look forward to the photographic update when the correction is made! BC |
