Does anyone know if the third A.109 has been delivered to the Navy yet? ADF Serials does not give a date and it was evidently placed on the civil register on 30 Nov 07 as VH-NPX (the other two were VH-NPY and VJ-NPZ before delivery) . I seem to remember that the third aircraft was always going to be delivered later than the other two so a delivery date would be appreciated if known.

First MRH-90 Multi-role Helicopters 9 January 2008

The first two Australian Defence Force MRH-90 multi role helicopters (MRH) have been accepted into service.

Acquired under Project AIR 9000, a total of 46 MRH-90s will ultimately replace the Navy's Sea King and Army's Black Hawk fleets.

The MRH-90 is expected to provide the Navy and Army with a new troop-lift helicopter designed to meet modern combat demands over land and from ships at sea.

Forty-two of the helicopters will be assembled in Australia.

The MRH-90, the first true fly-by-wire helicopter in the world, is equipped with a forward looking infra red system for flight in low light and has the same pilot helmet mounted sight and display as used in the Tiger armed reconnaissance helicopter.

It has a larger cabin than the current troop lift aircraft and can lift greater loads and carry more troops than the helicopters it is replacing.

A period of test and evaluation, training and aircraft development will now be conducted leading to their introduction into the Navy's Fleet Air Arm in 2010 and into the Army in 2011.

I don't follow Luig.

Is your post confusing the A109 with the MRH90 ?
