Good :) Now its clobber time. Expect a Block of P-40N-40's soon,..like all of em
Current range completed: 82 of the sods to date: A29-1140 to A29-1221 Can send in blocks of 100,... So given my lack of prowess of using software; how yer like em? Excel,.txt etc. I won't bother you per pics yet, unless , like me,.."special" LOL Mind you,.. I'd like to wait until I approach A29-400, ala A29-1063 MacAir That way,.."do it once" Thought's Bud? I'd really lean on the last option Meanwhile, I'm on them, like bees on honey Best Gordy |

Hi Gordy,
Looking forward to those update. Either format is fine - perhaps send a batch in your preferred way and I'll have a crack at them. Cheers BC Image: P-40N Kittyhawk A29-1177/LB-V, 84 Squadron, Garbutt, July, 1945 via Mike Mirkovic. Attached Image |

Okay Son,
I'll make it a 70 Aircraft batch first. A29-1152 to A29-1221 Interestingly,..appears, by records that a disposed Civil Aviation Ex 80Sqn P-40N-40 is buried post 1947 at Essendon Vic Will get on it in a couple of days for sending. XLS Format Will mirror the series on excel, off the site on ADF-Serials,..update the data, keeping the Gallery links where they should be. Err hopin A29-1213 LB-E Gordy Attached Image |

Nice Kittyhawk pics. My late friend and colleague AVM Jim Flemming flew with78 and 80 Sqn in 1945. The first picture with a P-51 in the background looks like TVL area [Bohle perhaps!]

And the first batch of updates to our A29 P-40N Kittyhawk page are up covering A29-1135 to A29-1221.
Check out Gordy's fine and extraordinarily well researched histories of these aircraft. Well done Gordy, and we look forward to the next exiting installment. Cheers BC Image: P-40N Kittyhawk A29-1135/BU-V, 80 Squadron, Tarakan, c.1945 via Mike Mirkovic. Attached Image |

Thanks to an interesting exchange between Phil Listermann and Gordon Birkett, we have also made a bit of an update to our RAAF A56 Republic P-43 Lancer Page.
Four of these airframes (A56-3,4,5,& 6) were previously reported as P-43-A-1 airframes on receipt by the RAAF. It has now been established that these aircraft had been designated as P-43B's at the time of their handover to the RAAF. Answer to Rhino,.. indeed though across the town down south on the Ross River Strip by 84Sqn A50 ORBs. A lot of people usually state the Bohle River in the north, but that was 86 Sqn RAAF Excerpt cuts attached Most of 84Sqn's new P-40N-40s ended up being Res Pool IRs and sent north to Tarakan for 11RSU RP, 76Sqn and 80Sqn when the Mustangs came to 84Sqn. Haven't got to the 86Sqn ones yet. Best Gordy Attached Image |
