Pistol Packin Mama - P-40n 78qn

Just wondering if anyone has uncovered the Codes and Serials for this P-40N from 78Sqn ? Had a search and couldn't see anything. Be grateful for any further research. Thanks heaps, Cheers Paul

Thanks - I had this screenshot of HU-Z (no overscore) and a different Spinner (the nose art looks like it has two colour bands) - this one looks like A29-567 anyhow- but will chase up that other image.

and this = Port side. Clearly also shows the diagonal white tail as well, No fin-flash, but can see the Blue tipped tail.

Thanks Shep. Looks like the serial has been painted over in the later shots I found as the "512" runs over the white in the earlier one from the book - cant see the "512"just plain white in the shot from the rear - looks like its the one for sure. I like your theory on the two blues as well. Cheers Paul.
