Hi Everyone,

A very big THANK YOU to Nelson (AKA Blackcat) for helping us to come up with a new set of ADF-Serials and NZDF-Serials logos that now incorporate our current web addresses:

www.adf-serials.com.au and www.nzdf-serials.co.nz

(IMG:http://www.adf-serials.com/adf-serials.png)

(IMG:http://www.adf-serials.com/nzdf-serials.png)

Nelson has also burned a lot of midnight oil producing and running some code to automagically update the logos on our existing pages and you will start to see these new pages appear on the sites over the next few days as we also take the opportunitiy to fix any other errors and anomolies in these pages.

We are starting with our New Zealand pages as it's great to finally have a Kiwi version of our logo available.

Thanks again Nelson.

You're a star!

Cheers

Brendan

Today I uploaded our 20.000th image to the gallery.
I thought it fitting that it was this Darren Crick photograph of F-111 A8-146 taken at Richmond back in 1991

Thanks to the many photgraphers that have allowed us use of their photos.

8,000 images was reached August 2009
The 10,000 mark was reached in May 2010
15,000 was October 2011

At that rate will we see 30,000 images by May 2016?

Hooray

Well done Martin.

At this rate 30000 is very achievable!

Thanks to Martin and all of our contributors over the years who have made this possible.

Thanks Martin,

Yesterday, we completed the replacement of our old logos on the site with the new ones supplied by Nelson.

If you see any the we have missed (they have the old adf-serials.com instead of the new adf-serials.com.au or the old RNZAF Roundel instead of the nzdf-serials.co.nz) please let us know, and we'll get that fixed.

Just in case you hadn't realised, wherever you see the logo, it has been set up as a link back to the home page for either www.adf-serials.com.au or www.nzdf-serials.co.nz.

Also, we are continuing our program of moving our old format (*.shtml) pages over to the current (*.htm) format pages - which includes the logo.

If the page doesn't have a logo, then we haven't arrived there yet!

Pages updated this month include:

A24 Catalina

A28 Boston

Cheers

Hi All,

To celebrate Martin's magnificent acheivement of landing the 20,000th image into our galleries, we have been working on a series of designs for a new image gallery page, and we're getting pretty close now.

For a sneak peak, take a look at the Emerging Design compared to the Current Page .

The idea is that we are going for a photo page that is more, well, photographic!

It's also a balance between ease of navigation for you and ease of maintenance for us!

All feedback on the emerging layout and design is welcome before we launch with the final edition.

Cheers

BC

Thanks Rod,

Martin & I are still kicking around a few other options and tweaks to make it more readable and less cluttered, so stay tuned!

It's last day of the month today, so here are a few more page updates squeezed in to round out May 2103.

This time it's the turn of our RAAF Series 2 pages to get some tidy up treatment:

A21 Moth Minor Minor (sic) re-write and update to current format.

A23 CAC Woomera Minor re-write and update to current format.

A26 Short Sunderland Minor re-write and update to current format. Plenty more to add on this page!

A31 DH.86 Update to current format

A32 Percival Vega Gull Minor re-write and update to current format.

A33 DH.89 Dragon Rapide Update to current format

A34 DH.84 Dragon Update to current format

A36 Fairchild 24R Update to current format

A37 Miles Hawk, Falcon & Merlin Update to current format

It's been a fairly active month!

This morning I also updated the About Us page.

There's always room to add your name to our crew list by dropping us a line at question@adf-serials.com.au and letting us know how you'd like to get involved.

Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement.

Cheers

Brendan
