Temora Flying Days

As many would know the Temora Aviation Museum has changed the format of their flying days, now called Aircraft Showcase Days, where they now only fly 2 or 3 aircraft from a certain period in aviation history flying. These periods include Vietnam, Korea, WWII as well as also covering Piston Fighters, Trainers, Bombers/Attack, V-12's

I am disappointed with the new format as I would attend to see a variety of aircraft from different periods flying rather than seeing just a couple of aircraft flying. But it is possible this decision was purely a business decision based on prolonging the life of these rare birds.

Two notable exclusions from the new program is the CAC Boomerang and Canberra.

So how does everyone else feel about the new format?

The latest issue of Aero magazine has an interview with David Lowy and he explains the situation. In brief it is due to costs, accomodation and pilot currency issues.
To answer your direct question I am not happy but that is only because we have been spoilt by having such a great flying collection in Australia.
They will still have an annual airshow with all aircraft flying.
