I write to thank Jan Herivel and the whole ADF Serials crew once again for enabling me to be more accurate in designating the aircraft used in and after the liberation of the Island by Australian forces.

I started the book some six years ago, but a publisher delayed me. Because of the work I had put in my wife agreed that I should pay to have it published. Because of early massive effort in liberating Labuan and constructing the airfield I had favoured the title Air Base Borneo to reflect RAAF practice, but was overruled by my editor.
