Hello,
Day #2 - 26th February - was for Point Cook RAAF Museum which is very well recorded and a wee bit disappointed that only 2/3 rds are exhibited. A formal request granted us a close view of the ongoing work on the Mosquito A52-600 which is an immense undertaking. In Flight Hangar noted Meteor F.8 A79-870 in full sqdn mks. Again photos of everything and full record can be posted if wished. Same day we went to Werribee to admire the Liberator A72-176. In the hangar was the partly completed fuselage frame of Boomerang which was stated to be the renovation of A47-147 by Nick Wright. Same high standards being applied to this frame. Then Braybrook to confirm the ex-Zimbabwean Vampire R8128 marked as A79-321 on the old RAAF Tottenham spot at Central Plaza. Clearly my next outing for aircraft was Avalon on 28th Feb. Thoroughly enjoyed and also well recorded. Wish I knew what the Orion in the flypast was though - my sole gap in the show. Then to Ballarat on 2nd March. Little of military of interest barring ex-A19-062 CT-4 which took part in the flying display at Avalon - and flew from Point Cook on the trade days with the other three CT-4s and three Winjeels. Regards Rick |

Apologies,
While at Ballarat, (museum closed and unable to see clearly into hangar), I asked around about the Adventure Flying group with the Strikemaster (NZ6361) and Yak VH-YFT) but no-one seemed ot know anything about them. The hangar stated on their website is now in use by Firespotters and the sign has been removed from the hangar wall at the car park. Regards Rick |

Evening Andy,
This will explain why they were not there. Nevertheless liked the wee airfield which like many would always be worth a visit. Cheers Rick |
