Gday All,

A long term lurker I have decided to sign up.

While mostly a compiler of Army information I have a long ter and great interest in the RAAF. I have regulary used ADF Serials as a reference point)

In the 60's & 70's I had an Uncle on base at Point Cook, back when the surrounds were salt swamps.

As kids we would cross the strip to get to the pier to go fishing, the road around the end of the strip was too long. We also used to look into some of the huts and from memory, could be warped, there were the Me262 & Me163 which later went up to Canberra.

I used to be fairly regular at Temora, though now dont think the drive (from nr Geelong) is worth it except for their annual show.

When I get it worked out (card holding Luddite here!) I'll try to scan some photos and post them (pair of F111 at about 200ft over the Nullabor etc)
