Porter A14-704 was relocated to Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre 6/7 Nov 13 by Troops and Trucks of 9FSB.
The aircraft will eventually be displayed at the centre after completion of restoration.

Porters were frequent visitors to Ubon, operated by Air America, perfect for quietly dropping mercenaries into jungle clearings.

Would have been good to see 704 in the delivery livery in the all over green with Dayglow. Oakey have one in the Camo livery.

Dave,

The "delivery scheme" (1968) was all over gloss green, but did not feature the dayglow. That was added later, but definitely before the move from AMB to Oakey (mid 1970s?).

To my eye, I prefer the camo finish, and congrats to AAHC for a another great job !
