On Monday 21 October 2019, No 4 Squadron PC-9s, A23-031 and -032 departed from R A A F Williamtown for the last time and flew to R A A F Wagga for storage. Photos appear on The Air Force Image Gallery.

Does anyone know the whereabouts/fates of the other two No 4 Sqn PC-9s, A23-020 and -022 ?

And the three ARDU PC-9s, A23-007, 045 and -062 depart R A A F Edinburgh tomorrow for storage at Avalon.

My understanding is that one of the remaining two 4 Squadron FAC PC-9/As will go to Fighterworld (or the gate).

Wagga was due to get 8 frames, so with the two already there... leaves six.

A man in a pub tells me that these will be A23-002 (a genuine PC-9) along with A23-003, A23-008, A23-021, A23-034 and A23-038 (PC-9/A)

All subject to any last minute changes...

These aircraft come in a range of used conditions, including near complete aircraft (including avionics and mechanical components). Most of those mentioned have in excess of 20,000 landings and 9,000 hours so I'm wondering do they have much airframe time left?

Hope someone is monitoring what the PC-9s went for.
Had my alarm set but it seems they staggered the close of bidding, so the first lot are "sold"
At one stage the bids for Lot 3 were up to $984,500 but checking just now it simply says sold.

Little birdy tells me that Pilatus PC-9/A A23-061 which last flew December 2019 was dismantled and put in a jig and trucked out of RAAF Base Pearce today 25 March 2020, destination unclear.
Also A23-009 is still at Pearce and could be the one allocated for gate guard duties.

An interesting conundrum has surfaced. Looking at the latest auction:

take a look at Lot 8, A23-012:

As you can see, it is described as c/n 509! There is a photo of the plate as well.
One might think this is an error, but c/n 512 has been assigned to N906XX for a while now, and everyone has assumed that this was A23-012. Why would Air USA register an aircraft they don't own?
