I got the following email from Phil and I dont know the answer I'm afraid...

---

Darren, What is the trick that allows me to post a message with some
CAPITALS that retains the CAPITALS rather than the forum message board
making "Capitals"? In some cases it looks silly. For example A4G is made
into "A4g". Any help appreciated.

---

can anyone help??

Yes,

I have experienced the same problem.

At first I thought it was my atrocious typing skills.

You wouldn't believe the number of my own posts that I actually come back in to for correction!

OK - maybe you would..... :o

It seems that it is very much a "Feature" of the message board software that topic titles occasionally get converted to lower case as soon as they are posted automagically.

I have been through the administration console quite exhaustively, but can find no control setting available to me to correct the anomaly.

We currently run the free version of this software (avoiding the need to raise more money) so maybe the fuller featured version might give us more control.

At the moment, it is not really feasable for us to make that investment - and we are not certain that would cure the problem.

I'll keep looking for a solution - but to be honest - I think it is beyond our control with the current software.

Sorry folks

Brendan,

it is possible there is a later free option to continue using. I'ts not just purchaisng the software it is installing it. in most cases we need to ask the ISP to do it and it could also be at a cost.

According to their website the current free (demo) version lasts only 8 hours.

Basically it is stay with what we have or upgrade to the latest at a cost of about $US150. plus install costs of the ISP and I am assuming there are no other requirements.

Ok thought I'd test some things here.

A-4G and SNAFU are problems in the heading. Correct?
