Updated Catalina page
We were able to update fate of A24-94
Thanks to photos kindly sent to us by Peter Wordsworth.
His late father, F/O Keith Wordsworth (404474) was a WAG on A24-91 operated by 43 SQN.
On 24th September 1944 A24-91 was sent on an operation to retrieve the crew of A24-94.
A24-94 was then raked with gunfire from A24-91 causing it to catch fire and sink.

9 photos of the incident

Did the annual (OK - not as regular as that!) clean up of our Links Page to fix broken links and remove defunct websites.

It actually reminded me how many resources there are out there that are of use to the researcher and to go back to a few that I hadn't been to for a while.

The next step will be to add some other useful sites to the list!

Hi All,

I've been quietly plugging away on one of my long term background tasks of writing the Fairey Battle pages.

I have amassed a lot more information - so lots of writing ahead!

Some recent updates have included additions to the histories of:

K9380, L4941, L5650, L5654, L5659, L5683, L5700, P6728, R3924, R3925

Also, I've started adding the C/N Information for serials in the K, N, P & R serial ranges and re-written the cover page.

I'm still looking for sources for C/N's in the other serial ranges - particularly the Austin and Morris built Battles.

Thanks too to Mike Mirkovic for this image of L5659 that I hadn't seen before.

Cheers

Does anyone know who flew the RAAF B-29's? RAF seconded or RAAF?
