Subject: Fw: Conway Bown - Official Army War Artist

Good evening Possums and Friends,

The purpose of this message is to introduce you to Captain Conway Bown who is an
Official Army War Artist who has done a number of aircraft images which you maybe
interested in seeing and/or obtaining copies of.

I have been assisting Conway for some time now providing him with information and photos
of some of our 161 Recce Flt aircraft and aircraft images from the broader Army Aviation.

One of the many projects which Conway is currently working includes images of the O-1 Bird Dog, which Major George Constable was flying on the 23 May 1968 when he was shot down and killed, and our own Bird Dog, Bunny II plus one of our 161 Recce Flt Bell 47 Sioux's.

Conway has done a number of centre page images for the Australian Army Aviation Journal, FOURAYS.

Conway joined the Army in 1990 and subsequently became an Army Aviation pilot.

Conway is based in Townsville and his Web Site is;

< www.ipas.com.au >.

A visit to Conway's web site will give you a full insight into Conway's background and Army service along with access to the art work and images that he has completed and is currently working on, including our 161 aircraft.

Conway has advised that if anyone is interested in obtaining a copy of his work they contact him through his web site. He has copies of 'high end’ printer that can print archival quality prints that will hold their colours for a century; much better than the usual lithographic prints that are lucky to see out two decades; or less if exposed to harsh light. If you go to the 'Art Gallery' on Conway's web site you can follow the development of the two images of the 161 Bird Dogs as well as view all of Conway's art work. As the Bird Dog images develop Conway will update the web site.

A visit to Conway's web site is highly recommended.

Best Wishes
Len
