His name is F/Sgt Thomas Mervyn Andersen 425577 and he was posted to 179 Sqn (RAF) as a part of 19 Grp, Coastal Command based in Gibraltar. His date of death is listed as being 17 Jan 44 and was believed to be on a Liegh Light Wellington.

I try and get more info soon.

F/Sgt Thomas Andersen's memorial is at Maryborough Qld and he was from there. Perhaps Garry is from up that way?

Dean, was 'Liegh' a mistyping for light?

Not that I can talk when it comes to spelling, but I think we are talking about a "Leigh Light".

I knew a Garry Greene once. He was a painter at Roselands Shopping Centre when I worked in the only Hobby Dept within the Grace Bros store there. I wonder if it's the same chap?

Dean, due to recent experiences - you just never know...

I was quite surprised to find out John Crawley lived next to my Grand Parents for some time in Melbourne, I know my father and they were very interested to see what he was up to...
