Another new page today, this time its the Spitfires of 485 Sqn RNZAF:

http://www.adf-serials.com.au/nz-serials/nzspitfire.htm

Many thanks to Phantom and Martin Edwards for the assistance and advice.

There's a bit more work required to tidy it up, but there are over 380 airframes recorded.

We did another update to the Spitfires of 485 Sqn RNZAF:

http://www.adf-serials.com.au/nz-serials/nzspitfire.htm

Apart from adding more references, formatiing and photo links, we have added details for the following aircraft:

AB198
BM462
MH432
RW388
TE288
TE456

and updated:

W3245
W3579
JK860
MH819
MJ502

Many thanks again to Phantom and Martin Edwards for the assistance and advice.

There's a bit more work required to tidy it up, there are now 380 exactly airframes recorded - and probably more to come.

The break up of Spitfires that we note as having passed through the Squadron is:

Ia 27
IIa 29
IIb 1
Vb 139
Vc 7
IX 2
LFIX 150
LFIXc 1
LFXVI 18
LFXVIe 3
377

Thanks to Joe Barr we have updated the Swordfish page again today:

http://www.adf-serials.com.au/swordfish.htm

We now have, perhaps for the first time ever, a history of these aircraft after the RAAF gave them back.

Thanks Joe!

Darren Crick has given us some updates to the CAC CA-2 & CA-6 Wackett Trainer page:

http://www.adf-serials.com.au/2a3.htm

QUOTE
He has had confirmation that Wackett A3-176 VH-FBD and A3-131 VH-FBE with Air Culture were indeed converted to crop dusters. Darrens contact worked at Air Culture and thinks he remembers another one being there. He cannot be 100% it was another and is starting to doubt his memory because we dont have another in our list associated with Air Culture. He also confirmed both were lost. It appears they were loosing a crop duster a week at one stage!

Thanks Darren and good to hear from you!

We have also taked the opportunitiy to update the page to our current format - some thing that we are progressivley working through on both http://www.adf-serials.com.au & http://www.nzdf-serials.co.nz as time permits or updates are received.

Cheers

Thanks to Joe Barr who has just completed another major update of our Supermarine Seagull V & Walrus I & II page:

http://adf-serials.com.au/2a2.htm

Joe's packed in a lot of new detail and it makes a great read.

Now, does anyone have any new photos of these types in RAAF (and subsequent) service to help round out our record?
