Can anyone help with this question sent to us
I have sent a link to
http://www.adf-gallery.com.au/gallery/The-...f-Firefly-WD869

Hi,
we are recent owners of a property in Broughton Village, and have been
informed by the neighbours there is the crash site of the WD869 above
our property in the bush. We would be interested in going to the site
and we would respect it as a memorial, if you could possible provide a
clearer indication of exactly where on the hillside would be great as
the current directions are a bit vague.

Many thanks

Martin
Many thanks we have seen the photo's and we know vaguely where it is, but as
the bush is very overgrown it will be impossible to locate unless we trip
over the site.

I am also curious on the second aircraft crashed nearby, I cannot find any
information on it at all, do you know what type it was and approx. when, I
have been told it maybe a DC series but unsure..

Regards

From our Phantom researcher

As quoted in the below "Tree world" website.

The Firefly WD 869 incident would be the closest to 'home'...about 30 mins driving away, but in a very remote location just below the lip of the escarpment (Saddleback/Noorinan Mountain).

http://www.treeworld.info/f36/plane-crash-sites-1456.html

Beaufort A9-350 is listed as crashed at Saddleback Mt by adfserials and in NAA.

Found nothing yet on a "Douglas"
