I have introduced a page for Woomera Meteors, the histories of the various trials and target drone Meteor F.4, F.8, NF.11, TT.20, U.15, U.21 and U.21As that served at Woomera.
It is a work in progress and I will be filling in the gaps with the data from the aircraft status cards of these Meteors as well as any other sources of information
I would appreciate any photos of these aircraft

Updated Iroquois page following this email that we recieved
from Brian Abraham
http://www.adf-serials.com.au/3a2.shtml

Congratulations on your web site.

I wish to point an error regarding the information you have listed for some of the Navy UH-1 helicopters.

All the Navy UH-1 were “B” models, not “C” that you have some listed as. I find it a common error among information on the web and have no idea where it originated.

The “C” model differed from the “B” in that it had an asymmetric fin to off load the tail rotor, a Vne of 140 knots vice 120, a 540 rotor head (distinguished by very wide chord rotor blades), and dual hydraulic systems rather than single.

Some misconstrue the fact that the “C” had a larger fuel tank than most “B” as a distinguishing feature, but such is not the case, for some “B” models were produced with the large fuel tank. In fact the Navy had one such model.

How do I know? I flew all the Navy Hueys as a Fleet Air Arm member (pilot), and flew the “C” in Vietnam on a few occasions when serving with the US Army as part of the RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam.

Regards,
Brian

Good Work Martin,

Sory folk, I've been away travelling on both business and pleasure over the last few weeks, and have been pretty quite on these pages as a result.

Here are some new and updated pages from me:

A16 Bell AH-1G Cobra (New Placeholder Page)

Cessna O-1 Bird Dog (New Page - separating Bird Dogs from our old A98 Cessna 180 page and adding new information and photos)

A19 Bristol Beaufighter (Updated page)

We still have lot's of new images pouring in to the Image Galleries via our Upload Page thanks to many contibutors. Please keep them coming as we head to wards the 20,000 image milestone.

According to the stats we have:

232 top-level albums (2980 total) with a total of 18874 images.

Can any one help out with some more pictures of Bird Dogs 51-11969, 56-2608 and Bunny II?

Cheers

Brendan

Hi Folks,

Today I did a complete overhaul of our Piper L-4 Grasshopper/Cub page.

Any further information and/or photos would be great.

Cheers

BC
