Thanks Martin,

That's a fast start out of the blocks for 2013 - and in our new format too!

Here's another update for today, the story of the (non)aquisition of the:

A16 Bell AH-1G Huey Cobra

;)

Cheers and happy new year to all.

Hi All,

I've put together a totally revamped page today for the:

A83 De Havilland Sea Hornet

Here's a link to our old Sea Hornet page for comparison.

If any one can add any more information or images, that would be very much appreciated.

All the best

Brendan

Blenheim

Defiant

Gauntlet

Gladiator

Hampden

Lysander

Let us know if you have more to add to any of these pages.

The keen eyed amoung you will notice that there are a few font oddities on these pages which is the result of a software glitch at my end.

I will fix that sooon.

Cheers

why do I digress off those Daks! :o

Per Gladiators,..
K6142 ? ? Served with 3 Sqn under RAF control. From 112 Sqn (RAF).
Crashed 31/12/40 on Takeoff Ikingi, Maryut.

The pilot of this was F/O John Jackson (Later CO of 75Sqn)
Five day prior, bent he bent N5756 26/12/40

Per N5766 MkII ? Served with 3 Sqn under RAF control. From 33 Sqn (RAF).
Shot Down 13/12/40 by CR42s near Sollum. The Pilot was F/O A A Gatward

Two Campbells in 3Sqn at the time,...P/O J Campbell (P/O at time) and F/Lt D Campbell Per 25/01/41 Losses, K8022 and K7963 respectively.

But,......date 04/02/41 has P/O J Campbell damaging K8022 again, so was the 25/01/41 landing a forced landing only???

F/O D L Winton also 13/12/40 per quoted Gladiator #3529 which isn't on the list

Per: K7901 ? ? Served with 3 Sqn under RAF control. From 80 Sqn (RAF).
Hit obstruction 24/01/41 landing Tmimi. Pilot was F/O N Davidson

So,......more or less confusion?

Best
Gordy
