Cant be the same ones.The article dates the visit as 1956.The Laverton visit was definately June or July 1954.I was in 6 RAAF hospital when they flew in ,Some of us from the ward were escorted (in dressing gowns)by an orderly to go over to the flight line and give them a patThe 2 things i remember was they were black and all the perspex was sealed with copious quantities of soft green putty.They flew out at night,the noise and shaking ,we thought the ward was ready for lift off.
