Apart from the genuine RAN Sea Furies that wore code 115 and the Australian Warbird VH-HFX/ORN which also wore 115 there is doppelganger to contend with.
French Sea Fury F-AZXJ despite having no Australian connection and never having flown here is marked as WH589/115/NW

I have added F-AZXJ to our Sea Fury page, I am sure that it has caused some confusion especially since the return to Europe (and disappearance) of VH-ORN

Interestingly F-AZXJ was fitted with a Wright R3350 which suffered a major failure last year. It now flies fitted with a P&W R2800
Aren't we lucky to have heard so many Bristol Centaurus powered Fury Warbirds

There are so many current Sea Fury/ Fury warbirds wearing false RAN schemes that I thought it may be useful to list them on our Sea Fury page. Hopefully that will help identify these doppelgangers.
If there are any that I've missed please let me know.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to identify these aeroplanes.

To Rhino:
What "strong words"?

Did you actually read and comprehend my post?

There is no judgement made on these aircraft.

As a research website that shows the history of aircraft that served the Australian Defence Forces it is only fair that we point out that not all aircraft that appear wearing ADF schemes are in fact such aircraft.

In the example of Sea Furies/Furies wearing RAN schemes hopefully I have done something to ease any confusion caused by these examples.

Finally on a personal note what do you mean by "What does your Sea Fury look like?"
