Oui,
What's the service logo on the side of the Tiger? (Shouldn't these been on the Army Pages) For JC's sake, will you RAAF types accept the 1989 transfer of Helios to the Army? LMGO!!! All in Fun :P |

keeping the post on topic, would the ARDU pilot's flying be RAAF or Army???
the reason I ask is that I have been advised the the final flight of an Iroquois with the ADF will (or possibly already has as the info is a few weeks old now) be completed by a fully RAAF crew. The Aircraft will be one used by ARDU. Good to see my 'guess' ;) on A38-001 was correct... thanks again for the help pgh... Darren |

This was probably the cargo on Globemaster A41-207 that came in last week.

AH you can quickly rip them off (Grin)
I am hearing stories that there are performance problems with this type. Is that why ARDU is becoming involved. Hope we can get this one under control Regards Col |

from what I am hearing Col its not the only problem... they are sounding more and more like the seasprite, but they might fly more often!
There is aparently not enough existing hanger space for the one's already delivered to Oakey and more due before years end. No idea when (or if) they will be sent to Darwin to go into operational service with the intended units (161 Recce Flight and ??). Quite sad.. I have heard one was offered to the Museum at Oakey for static display for the short term, but not taken up for lack of space as well. I believe pilot training is underway, with all that in mind you guys in SA might have 001 for a while! |

Thanks PGH! Lol
Just love Chooks I wonder, given the size of the C-17, whether it had both Chook and chicken on board? Nice aircraft Best Gordy |
